Case Mix: Cardiac, major vascular, orthopedics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, general surgery, urology, and gynecology. Minimal pediatric- mainly at ASC. No transplants. No trauma.
1 in-house Anesthesiologist and 1 beeper-call as backup.
Regional non-profit healthcare system based in Syracuse, NY. Hospital offers primary, specialty, and home care, and collaboration with community partners.

Responsibilities

Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
ECFMG and FLEX
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician

Compensation Details

General Call-taking Anesthesiologist: $525K with 8 weeks of PTO
Cardiac Anesthesiologist: Base of $525k plus $25k specialty stipend
Per-Diem Anesthesiologist: $250/hour
1099 Anesthesiologist: $275/hour
