Department of Anesthesiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and Temple Health has exciting opportunities for General, Cardiothoracic and Critical Care anesthesiologists.

Duties of new faculty will include patient care, teaching of medical students and residents, and supervision of CRNAs. Temple Health s team of Anesthesiologists will mentor new physicians and enhance the skills of experienced physicians in an environment focused on quality and the highest levels of patient satisfaction. Opportunities for scholarly effort and clinical research are available and participation in the academic mission of the department is required. Rank is commensurate with experience.

Position Specifics:

• High volume inpatient and outpatient procedural anesthetic service

• Resident/CRNA supervision 85%, Own case 15%

• Case mix: trauma, vascular, transplants, orthopedic and neurosurgical cases

• Support the region s busiest lung transplant program

Applicants are required to be BE/BC in anesthesiology; academic credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor; and eligibility to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Department of Anesthesiology is comprised of more than 100 clinical professionals who work cooperatively to coordinate the care and management of patients throughout the Temple University Health System. The academic mission of the Department of Anesthesiology includes both the pursuit of scholarly work relevant to the evolving US healthcare delivery system as well as the didactic and clinical education of our residents and medical students. The clinical experience available in the operating rooms, critical care units, and through the consultation teams is robust and provides exposure to the evolving paradigm of coordinated longitudinal care management.
