Anesthesiologist Medical Director

An exceptional leadership opportunity awaits a dynamic anesthesiologist to assume the role of medical director, leading an esteemed anesthesia practice at Grand Strand Medical Center, the largest and most advanced hospital in the Myrtle Beach Metropolitan Area. TeamHealth is actively seeking an innovative physician leader to serve as facility medical director (FMD) of anesthesiology responsible for strategic oversight of growing practice comprised of highly skilled anesthesiologists, CRNAs, CAAs and residents.

In collaboration with the regional medical director, vice president of operations, and hospital administration and leaders, assumes responsibility for the following:
•  Clinical quality, patient safety and risk
•  Clinician recruitment, engagement, and retention
•  Metric-driven operational excellence
•  Client retention
•  Growth Practice Information:
•  Cases: general, trauma (Level I), pediatrics (Level II), endo, ENT- head and neck, ortho, vascular, cardiac, thoracic, neuro, urology, and OB
•  14 operating rooms (1 hybrid with IR capacity)
•  Comprehensive regional anesthesia and acute pain service
•  Collaborative care team comprising anesthesiologists, CRNAs, CAAs, and residents
