Airframe Structure Design Engineer Salary: $90-$105/hr. Location: Marietta, GA (fully on-site) Industry: Government/Defense Employment Type: Long-term contract with potential for permanent employment Clearance: Active Secret clearance with investigation in past 5 years or CE enrollment Qualifications: BS degree and 10+ years of relevant airframe structure design experience Experience with CATIA V5 or V6 (3DX)
Experience with Model Based Definition
Experience with Full-Sized Determinant Assembly
Experience with primary and secondary structure design in aircraft
Experience with subsystem installation design
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with structural analysis for preliminary sizing
Active Secret clearance with investigation in past 5 years or CE enrollment
Responsibilities: Apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft structural design problems.
Develop airframe design solutions under general direction and independently.
Coordinate efforts across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Quality Assurance, Planning, Tooling, Structural Analysis, Materials & Processes, Flight Sciences, Production Operations, Flight Test, and various other engineering disciplines.
Designs, develops, and tests a variety of, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.
