Air Drill/Planter Recon Technician

About the Position:Department: Service
Reports to: Service Dispatcher
Supervises: N/A

Purpose:

Reconditions and services air drills and planters around the Gooseneck Implement service area. Will also prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Reconditions and assembles all types of seeding equipment and merchandise offered for sale by the dealership.

• Prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.

• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required.

• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and timely fashion.

• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.

• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.

• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work away from home, including overnight stays 1 to 3 nights a week.

• Ability to assemble machinery components.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to use basic computer functions.

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.

• Submission of driving authorization for insurability check.

• Willing to train individuals with a desire to learn and a strong work ethic.
