Job Description Summary This is a recruitment for a short-term/temporary position. This recruitment will be open until the position is filled. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Under supervision of Associate Director of Instruction over Community Programs, aide in the delivery of workshops on topics related to STEM subjects, focusing on renewable energy. The STEM Camp is a 4-day camp for high school students is planned for Monday-Thursday, June 10-13, 2024 on the South County. We are looking to hire four aids in a STEM field to assist with lesson demonstrations and supervising participants at this STEM Camp. Essential Functions & Qualifications Assist with the delivery of workshops on topics related to STEM subjects, focusing on renewable energy, and relevant career pathways Assist participants with hands-on activities Participate in an orientation on curriculum and activities Assist with classroom management and monitoring of participants A current Cuesta or Cal Poly student in a STEM or related subject. Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and of staff and students with physical and learning disabilities. Assignment Details Immediate need for late Spring 2024: Spring 2024: Up to 12 hours for orientation and training Monday-Thursday, June 10-13, 2024 (minimum 6 hours per day) South County(minimum 24 hours total) Additional Information This is a short-term/temporary position.
