Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) is searching for a talented, experienced artificial intelligence /machine learning (AI/ML) Applications Engineer to join our team that includes the planning and executing of basic research, component/system development, and demonstration/experimentation of laser directed energy concepts and technologies. Key directed energy weapon technologies include efficient high energy lasers and advanced beam control. Primary duties will include AI/ML concept development for multiple elements of beam control and tracking subsystems for High Energy Laser technology to support senior management and DoD customers. Required Skills Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or relevant technical field
Use of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) techniques for modeling, simulation, and analysis
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Active Secret Clearance
Required Experience Minimum of 5 years of AI/ML related experience in Science & Engineering
Experience with MATLAB, Python, and C/C and abilities to create ML networks from a variety of tools including MATLAB and Python
Experience applying AI/ML algorithms to existing M&S tools
Experience with the development of image-based AI/ML networks
Desired Qualifications Experience with Optical System, High Energy Laser System, and Beam Control System Technology and M&S
Experience with hosting AI/ML algorithms on various physical platforms to include Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
Experience with Graph Neural Networks or other techniques for attribution and explainable AI
Experience with Reinforcement Learning
Experience with the application of AI/ML to battle management and weapon-target assignments.
Experience with Data Collection with Instrumentation and Processing
Experience with EO/IR Tracking Systems
Active Top Secret Clearance EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled
