Digital Core is actively looking for an Artificial Intelligence Data Engineer to build and fuel AI models and solutions that improve performance and reliability of processes and systems in pharma. What You'll Be Doing


As our Artificial Intelligence Data Engineer, you will:


Data Pipeline Architecture: Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.


Data Integration and Orchestration: Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts. Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.


Data Storage and Processing: Implement data storage solutions that support the volume, velocity, and variety of data. Optimize data retrieval and develop dashboards, reports, and other visualizations for stakeholders.


Collaboration with AI Teams: Work closely with AI researchers, machine learning engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless integration of AI and machine learning models into the data ecosystem.


Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor, test, and improve the performance of data management systems to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the business.


Innovation and Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and data engineering. Explore and adopt cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to enhance our AI capabilities.

What You Should Bring


Proven Experience: A solid track record in data engineering with a specific focus on AI-driven projects. Demonstrable experience with data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.


Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.), data pipeline and workflow management tools, and cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.


Data Modeling and Analytics: Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and how they are applied in big data platforms.


Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Your Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of technology leadership experience with expertise in industry standard data engineering tools and practices.

  • 1+ years of experience in working with AI technologies and tools, such as natural language processing (NLP), AI generation, machine learning algorithms, deep learning, etc.


Additional Preferences:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or other languages such as Java, R, C , and JavaScript. Knowledge of related libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn.

  • Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum), version control systems (Git), containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Knowledge of NLP techniques and tools focusing on text analysis and understanding such as sentiment analysis, text classification, entity recognition, and the use of libraries like NLTK, SpaCy, or Gensim

  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, decision trees, logistic regression, etc.) and deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch)

  • Deep understanding of and experience with advanced machine learning and deep learning techniques, particularly those related to generative models like GANs, autoencoders, and transformers. Knowledge of how to design, train, and optimize these models.


Additional Information:

  • Position located in Indianapolis, Indiana working in a hybrid model. Remote work within the US may be considered.

  • Travel may be required periodically.
