The Pacific Pearl division of Lind Marine LLC is a leading North American manufacturer and supplier of bulk wholesale oyster shell products for agricultural and industrial uses. The Company is seeking an Oyster Shell Outside Sales Manager to promote and sell Pacific Pearl's new line of retail oyster shell agricultural feed and gardening supplement products. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing an oyster shell marketing and sales plan which achieves the Company's retail sales growth objectives by developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with the Company's distribution and retail store partners. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:
    • Prospecting: Identify potential clients (retail stores) within your designated territory.
    • Lead Generation: Actively seek out new business opportunities by reaching out to retail establishments.
    • Educate Customers: Provide information about the benefits, usage, and application of agricultural feed and gardening supplement products.
    • Recommendations: Suggest appropriate products based on the specific needs of each retail store.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Order Processing: Facilitate the purchase process for retail stores, ensuring smooth transactions.
    • Inventory Management: Keep track of available stock and coordinate with manufacturers or distributors to maintain inventory levels.
    • Contract Preparation: Prepare contracts and agreements for wholesale product sales.
    • Sales Reports: Regularly compile and submit sales reports to track performance.
  • Product Knowledge and Demonstrations:
    • Product Familiarity: Understand the features, benefits, and applications of various agricultural feed and gardening supplement products.
    • Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations to showcase their effectiveness to potential buyers.
    • Product Recommendations: Advise retail store owners on how specific products can enhance their gardening and agricultural practices.
  • Industry Awareness and Networking:
    • Stay Current: Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and workshops to stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in agricultural products.
    • Networking: Build professional relationships with key stakeholders, including manufacturers, distributors, and retail store owners.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Customer Outreach: Both virtual and in-person customer interface, meetings and presentations.
    • Address Queries: Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
    • After-Sales Support: Assist retail stores with any post-purchase issues or concerns related to the products.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for explaining product details and building relationships.
  • Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of agricultural feed and gardening supplement products.
  • Sales Territory Management: Ability to manage and develop a designated sales territory.
  • Client Relationships: Experience in establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Physical Stamina: The role involves travel and physical activity.

The Oyster Shell Sales Manager's role contributes directly to supporting farmers, gardeners and retail stores by ensuring these customers have access to quality agricultural feed and gardening supplements. A passion for improving the agricultural community is vital in this role. ð ð "

Education and/or Experience:


  • 5+ years' proven experience in Outside Sales, preferably in agriculture feed and products.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent professional level experience.
