This is a merit hire position. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. The hourly rate is $20.20 per hr. Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Aging Care Manager 2 (Weekend Duty-On Call). An employee in this position will perform their duties during non-traditional work hours with their typical work schedule being Friday at 4:30 PM to Monday at 8:00 AM. An employee will perform the following duties, with the guidance of an experienced Aging Care Management Supervisor and subsequent review by the Director of Services or Director of Protective Services to meet the operational demands and time limits. This position will develop care plans for older adult clients through an evaluation of the client's social contacts and supports, their activities of daily living, status of their cognitive functioning, their physical health, and their economic and other resources. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING: Six months of experience as an Aging Care Manager 1, County Caseworker 1, or County Social Casework Intern. Or one year of experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 semester hours credit in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences. Or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours credit in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences. One year of experience in public or private social work is required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: At the time of hire, a valid driver's license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver's license under 67 PA.
