Position Overview:

The Agile Development Director will lead a team of ambitious, junior developers to build next generation of software engineers for IT Service and Operations. You will be responsible for application architecture, system design, local methodology implementation, work distribution and quality control of myriad new systems being created to industrialize our department information management, analytical capability and process automation.

Our Impact:

IT Service and Operations runs the firm's ITIL processes and the Global Operations Center. We are responsible for 24/7/365 operations of platforms supporting the entire firm's technology footprint.

Your Impact:
  • Lead, mentor and teach team of recent college hires to evolve from early-stage developers into seasoned software engineers
  • Foster individuals learning styles to enable them to quickly acclimate to new technologies, techniques, languages and frameworks while boosting their confidence in being able to self-tech / self-start
  • Build throughout the team the ability to effectively utilize seasoned design patterns, effective use of system abstractions and solid software engineering principles
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' experience demonstrating technical responsibility progression developing enterprise grade software in a moderate to high scale, regulated environment (e.g., Financial Services)
  • 4+ years of experience (either technical or managerial) leading full lifecycle software development teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, related field or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to mentor, educate, motivate and challenge current and future cohorts of emerging development talent joining the department
  • Ability to construct a cohesive, professional-grade, successful delivery team able to tackle novel problems with both stabilized and emerging technologies

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $202,000 - $302,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
