Paid Time Off (PTO) program POSITION DESCRIPTION The position of Equipment Operator will be tasked with operating multiple pieces of equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a safety-first attitude. This position requires management resources to adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations, including MSHA, OSHA, TCEQ, etc. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able or willing to learn to operate other mobile equipment, including haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader, excavator, and dozer. Follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures by MSHA/OSHA and Alleyton policies. Safely perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, complete daily equipment reports, and report unsafe equipment to supervisor or foreman. Demonstrate the ability to operate equipment safely and productively at all times. Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment. Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs when needed. Perform preventative maintenance. Cross-train on other positions in the plant to serve as a relief to other operators. Demonstrates a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level and works as a team player. Ability to work in a confined area with other heavy equipment and ground personnel while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards of operation. Must be able to work on pipelines in the cold and heat climates Dredge Operator requires many tasks, greasing, maintaining good housekeeping, performing pump jobs Must be able to troubleshoot problems. Performs other related duties as may be assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Prior experience safely operating heavy mobile equipment or the aggregates industry is preferred. General maintenance abilities are required. Proficient knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety requirements. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must be able to perform work around water when required Must wear a life jacket when required. This position will be considered for night shift roles if they become available. Evenings and night shifts may be expected. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as necessary.
