What you will be doing: Perform, develop, administer, and secure databases, data management systems, and/or data processes for the storage, query, visualization, and utilization of data. Assess data to develop reports, presentations, and address requests for information. Assist in identifying best of breed systems and tools for improved integration and automation supporting 15 AF mission/strategy. Develop standardized tools and interfaces in accordance with Air Force Network Operations guidance, DoD directives and standards for security and interoperability to transform raw data into actionable information. Develop and implement plans to enable effective information discovery, indexing, storage, life-cycle management, retrieval, and sharing in a collaborative enterprise information environment. Harness capabilities of systems designed to collect, store, retrieve, process, and display accurate and timely data to support leadership situational awareness and decision making. Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements. Implement data management standards, requirements, and specifications. Monitor and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance. Performs backup and recovery of databases to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and write/codes new (or modifies existing) computer applications, software, dashboard, databases following software assurance best practices. Analyze the security of new or existing computer applications, software, dashboards, databases and provides actionable results. Design, develop, test, and evaluate computer applications, software, dashboards, and databases. Work with stakeholders and developers to progress the goal of getting the right product to users. Locates patterns in large data sets using computer science techniques helping team members with different levels of understanding and expertise to make data-driven business decisions increasing effectiveness or efficiency of staff & operational forces. Ensure compliance with DoD directives and standards for security & interoperability. Determine, analyze, and develop requirements for software systems through interpreting standards, specifications, and user needs as a system analyst. What you will need: Security Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI eligibility. One of the following education/experience combinations: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, software integration, computer programming, data analyst/scientist) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience (4+ preferred) OR, 2 years of relevant experience as a software engineer, software integrator, data analyst/scientist, computer programmer, or stack developer in lieu of degree Stack Development experience is highly desired Experience with python and R programming languages. Strong organizational and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of C , ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks. Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, JSON, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services. 5 years of joint or service exercise planner/coordinator experience (desired) Benefits: Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves.
