Overview We are currently seeking a Aegis Ashore Poland Navy Network ADNS Specialist. Project duties involve Navy Computer Network Engineering in support AAMDS maintenance and engineering and assess network requirements to satisfy the technical requirements for the ISNS DV(9) baseline. Support all applicable Aegis Ashore maintenance and engineering computer network work performance at the AAMDS located in Redzikowo, Poland. DOD Information Assurance Work Force (IAWF) Level II with Security+, CISCO and windows certification Required. Responsibilities Essential Functions/Job Duties: Assess computer networks that interface with the combat system and tactical data link systems and coordinates with shore based facilities Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS), Europe Central (EURCENT).
Provides ADNS/CANES subject matter expertise to support maintenance and troubleshooting efforts and provides support as a communications security material system (CMS) custodian.
Provides ADNS INC. III system engineering support to AEGIS Ashore for maintenance and software / hardware upgrades.
Supports all operational network requirements at the AA Missile Defense Test Site.
Provides Tactical Networks engineering on all A3C4I related activities for CANES and VTC Systems.
Assists System Administrator in Network support functions.
Provides CANES subject matter expert (SME) on-site assistance to support ISNS maintenance and troubleshooting. Equipment Used: ADNS CANES CRYPTO devices Typical Working Conditions: Operational environment containing electronic equipment. Essential Physical Tasks: Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on an occasional basis. Ability to travel OCONUS. Written Communications: Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.
Proficient in the reading, writing and comprehension of technical documentation and manuals. Verbal Communications: Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills. Qualifications Skills / Qualifications: Six (6) years in-depth knowledge of computer system networking and interfacing protocols used in commercial and/or military communications systems.
In-depth experience with Shipboard computer network systems, specifically Integrated Shipboard Network Systems and Advanced Digital network Systems and cryptographic devices, WAN/LAN Network Architectures, Military Network Systems ISNS, ADNS. Customer Interface Activities: Interfaces with customers and other contractor/civilian/military representatives utilizing clear and effective written and oral communication skills. Provides input for consolidated BMD event Daily Status Reports (DSR). Project Management Tasks: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity. Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree preferred in a relevant technical discipline or 8 years relevant experience and High School Diploma. Required Certifications: DOD Information Assurance Work Force (IAWF) Level II CISCO (CCNA) Windows Operating U.S. Citizenship is required Security Clearance: Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
