Our Research Associates are focused on the product development of diagnostic assays, to include reagents, calibrators, controls, calibration verifiers and proficiency testing. Bio-Techne, and all its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide. Full compensation for this range is $63,000-$95,000 + 5% Bonus Incentive Plan. Position Summary: This position is responsible for participating in the development of Bio-Techne's various product lines. You will maintain knowledge of multiple products and procedures as well as draft and revise standard operating procedures in order to further the ongoing development of new and existing products to help advance Bio-Techne's evolving portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Support development of Bio-Techne reagents, calibrators, and controls. Set up and conduct your own experiments to help further new product development and product support. Draft and revise standard operating procedures. Able to design, analyze and interpret data and prepare reports summarizing findings. Carry out troubleshooting activities daily. Proficient in operating various chemistry, immuno analyzers and other laboratory equipment. Able to design, analyze and interpret data and summarize into a report. Focusing on delivering tangible results and achieving objectives efficiently and effectively. Propose and implement process improvements. Adept in GMP, GDP and general lab manufacturing processes. Collaborate with other departments/labs as needed. Capable of seamlessly transitioning products to operational phases post-development. Follow guidelines and comply with all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 2-8 years of relevant experience such as IVD manufacturing or development experience Or, Master's degree in a related field and up to 2-5 years of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Adapts quickly to changing priorities, project scopes and environments. Able to thrive in dynamic work settings where tasks and goals may evolve rapidly. Exhibits strong problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying issues and developing innovated solutions. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, especially across different groups and sites. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must work well independently in an environment that requires strategic decision making. Comfortable with troubleshooting complex technical issues, utilizing an understanding of biochemical principles and laboratory techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
