About the Area: Harker Heights rests in the beautiful 'Hill and Lake' country of Central Texas and is approximately 1 hour/60 miles north of Austin; 30 minutes/45 miles south of Waco, 2 hours/160 miles south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and 2 hours/150 miles north of San Antonio.
