Full Time 25 June St. Nursing Day Shift For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Registered Nurses: Registered Nurses - 0 to 2 years of experience: $10,000 (full time) Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience: $20,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit in Sanford is a 40 bed, locked unit that provides a 24 hour treatment program designed to provide care for adults ages 18-95 in acute psychiatric crisis. The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care. Our team of mental health professionals plan and work together with the patient to provide psychiatric care, medical treatment, support, referral for follow-up care, and opportunities for learning and emotional growth. Additionally, we have a full-time Nurse Educator on-site for additional support and further learning opportunities for all of our staff. Please note: If you are currently licensed in New Hampshire, you do not need to change licensure. NH applicants are welcome to apply and work using their current license. Position Summary Admits patients to BHU by maintaining admitting criteria; screening all referral calls to the unit, obtaining referral information; screening assessment data; consulting with the charge nurse and attending physician for the day, and completing admissions process. Assists nurse manager on special projects. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. License/Certifications: Current licensure of the State of Maine Board of Nursing; Current BLS Certification. Experience: 5+ years psychiatric nursing or comparable experience preferred. Must have strong capability to Multi-task, listen, have excellent verbal communication skills, high energy level, good teamwork, people skills. Must have strong documentation skills, PC Proficiency, navigation of excel spreadsheets, and an ability to summarize basic data.
