TITLE: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST- ANTICIPATED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a successful internship as a school psychologist. Master's Degree in School Psychology. Valid Ohio School Psychologist Certificate/License. Knowledge and experience in measures of psycho-educational assessment and interpretation. REPORTS TO: Director Of Special Services TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10.5 Months (203-day contract). Salary and work year to be in accordance with the Administrative Compensation Package. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides comprehensive evaluations of individual children identified as or suspected of being disabled and interprets results of the evaluation to appropriate individuals. Participates as a member of the evaluation/placement team and contributes to the written report of that team regarding students' individual strengths and weaknesses. Consults with parents, educational personnel, and professionals from outside agencies on matters relating to the education and/or mental health of students. Provides counseling individually and for groups for students and/or their parents as needed. Assists educational staff in implementing or modifying instructional strategies, classroom management procedures, intervention strategies, and follow-up activities. Participates in Response To Intervention planning strategies and Individual Education Plans to help meet the needs of identified students. Participates in parent/teacher conferences as needed. Maintains appropriate child confidential files. Attends scheduled school psychology department staff meetings when scheduled. Keeps abreast of new developments in the field. Adheres to established professional and ethical standards for school psychologists. Completes Medicaid billing. Conducts in-service training for faculty and staff. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
