The College of Southern Nevada, West Charleston campus is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant III to work in the Nursing Department. Duties include, but are not limited to: Providing administrative support to the Director of Nursing, program directors, and faculty. Preparing faculty contracts; coordinating and assisting with processing newly hired faculty and program personnel. Preparing and maintaining budget documents. Supervising the Administrative Assistant II in the Nursing Department. Answering phones. Working with a variety of general office equipment. Utilizing various computer programs such as Workday, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MyCSN. Attending meetings and training at various campuses. Interacting with students, faculty, and administration. Maintaining accurate records and files. Managing and prioritizing job assignments. Ensuring work products meet established standards of quantity and quality. Other duties as assigned by Nursing Director for needs of the office, division, and institution. The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. Customer-service skills. Attention to detail, excellent planning, organization, and time management skills. Punctuality and reliability. Computer proficiency and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and office etiquette. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, spend authorizations and expense reports, and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Workday, Peoplesoft, and MyCSN. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience working in post-secondary setting. Experience working with diverse population. Experience using educational technology. Organizational and time management skills. Must possess superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated dedication to customer service. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce. Communication Skills: Proficient oral, reading, and written English, and bilingual in any other language. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, subject to flex based on organizational needs. Starting Salary Grade 27, Step 1 - $ 41,634.72 Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
