The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion. This position will require daily travel throughout the construction season with occasional overnight stays. The purpose of this position is to support and provide oversight of all ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Contract Administration activities associated with the delivery of MnDOT's trunk highway program to ensure they are done in accordance with PROWAG (Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines) and MnDOT Standards and to help implement MnDOT's ADA Transition Plan throughout the Department. MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment. Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of para-engineering experience (at the Transportation Specialist level or equivalent) that demonstrates experience in: + In depth knowledge and experience implementing PROWAG accessibility standards; + Experience in the construction and contract administration of accessible roadway pedestrian facilities including curb ramps, sidewalks, accessible pedestrian signals. + Experience with roadway construction and contract administration practices and procedures; + Experience with roadway construction practices and procedures sufficient to interpret, understand and apply engineering plans, specifications and special provisions, and survey, bridge, soils and materials information ; + Human relations skills sufficient to collaborate and communicate complex information to engineers, inspectors, contractors, and other staff; + A Valid Class D Driver's License.
