Acute RN

Title: Acute Care Registered Nurse

Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an Acute Care RN, you will play a critical role in delivering quality patient care by following the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will be responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care based on established clinical standards, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The RN provides care as a temporary employee, and understands that travel away from his or her home state may be required for employment, or continues employment with Client.


Requirements:

  • 12 months recent dialysis experience is required.

Position Education/Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Licensure appropriate to the state where you will be working and the necessary certifications for the position and facility.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous job experience.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Annual physical examination.
  • Two professional references from current/former supervisors.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Job Knowledge/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to use the nursing process to provide patient care, including administering medications and treatments in compliance with physician orders and hospital policies, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a care plan, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and educating patients and their families (in compliance with HIPAA).
  • Must have the knowledge and skills to provide care for patients of all age groups and understand the principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Accurate documentation and charting of observations and patient care activities.
  • Effective communication and reporting to appropriate healthcare personnel in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Completion of all required and related duties.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, reposition patients, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Bending and maneuvering throughout the facility may be required.
  • Visual and auditory skills for interpreting environmental cues.
  • In emergency situations, the ability to evacuate the building and potentially perform heavy lifting of patients.
