ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee and manage the accounts receivable department of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

OVERVIEW OF THE AR MANAGER ROLE:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department
  • AR Manager develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure the timely and accurate billing and collection of customer accounts
  • Review and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all transactions
  • Manage customer inquiries and disputes, working closely with internal departments and external customers to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • AR Manager monitors accounts receivable aging reports, identifies delinquent accounts and takes appropriate action to collect outstanding balances
  • Analyze and report on accounts receivable data, including cash flow projections, bad debt reserves, and collection trends
  • Coordinate with the credit department to establish credit limits and payment terms for new and existing customers
  • Supervise and train accounts receivable staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • AR Manager ensures compliance with all applicable accounting and regulatory standards
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of accounts receivable and related activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR AR MANAGER ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
