Summary/Objective

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and communicate information effectively.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the accounts receivable process from invoicing to cash application, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at each stage.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function and assist with documentation and implementation of new processes.
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up with customers to collect outstanding receivables.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with all branches of the business to address customer inquiries and resolve billing issues.
  • Review and analyze credit applications, establish credit limits, and monitor customer credit risk.
  • Prepare weekly accounts receivable reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in financial audits and provide support as needed to auditors.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a public company or similar environment

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Construction and/or professional service industry experience, preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ownership of a monthly close process
