Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to join our accounting team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding customer accounts and ensuring timely payment of invoices.

Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect outstanding payments on accounts by established collection procedures and guidelines.
- Analyze accounts, identify issues or disputes, and work to resolve them professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of collection efforts, payment arrangements, and account status in the company's accounting system.
- Collaborate with sales teams and other departments to address customer concerns and facilitate resolutions.
- Follow up on promises for payment and escalate delinquent accounts through appropriate channels.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and other account irregularities.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable collections or related fields.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
