The Senior Accounts Receivable / Collection Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the members of the Accounts Receivable Unit to facilitate the collection of payments from clients on behalf of the company. In addition, the position supports tenant relationships and ensuring compliance with company guidelines.


Requirements:

This position is responsible for:

  • Lead collection efforts for accounts assigned to the employee.
  • Prepare and report on a weekly basis an AR aging report and Collections report.
  • Work with internal and external counsel on accounts that cannot be resolved.
  • Review tenant ledgers in order to identify inconsistencies or other issues.
  • Negotiate with tenants as per ECP protocols and processes.
  • Identify process improvements and discuss with management efficiency opportunities.
  • Post to ECP financial records incoming electronic payments.
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
  • Maintain and develop tenant relationship efforts, reply to email communications in a timely manner and answer tenant phone calls.
  • Assist with the daily deposit of tenant payments.
  • Support the AR Unit in tenant invoicing, reconciliations and other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Familiarity with financial, accounting, and bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, forecasting, and Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS)
  • Time and process management, including the ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Accounting and superlative quantitative skills
  • Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to resolve misunderstandings and errors in a diplomatic manner

Required:

  • Associate's or bachelor's in accounting, finance, economics or business management
  • 4+ years' experience working in an accounting, billing, or accounts receivable department
