Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Accountant:
- Receive cash items and third-party payments; post to ledgers
- Review credit balances, refunds, adjustments, and claim denials; apply adjustments to billing records
- Balance daily batches and reports; prepare income reports and statistics
- Ensure strict confidentiality of financial records
- Ensure outstanding balances are followed up on in a professional manner
- Administrative work includes general filing and data entry when necessary
Preferred Qualifications and Experience for the Accounts Receivable Accountant:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum three years of experience in an accounting role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work well under pressure, with a proactive approach to unusual issues
