The Accounts Payable Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves supervising a team of accounts payable specialists, managing vendor relationships, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
  • Review and approve payments, reconciliations, and expense reports.
  • Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze reports to support financial decision-making and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment methods, and vendor management.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
