About the Role: As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our client's finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. You will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in accounts payable procedures to support the financial operations of our client. This position will be part of the accounting team(12) and report directly to the Controller, while having the opportunity to work closely with the VP of Finance and CFO.
Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Verify accuracy of invoices, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting processes.
- Maintain organized documentation and records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounts payable function.
Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+years proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
