Accounts Payable Specialist

In this critical role, you'll play a vital role in our company's financial department by processing invoices, managing vendor relations, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Here's what you'll do:

Invoice Processing Pro: Review and process purchase orders, invoices, statements, and other check requests for payment.

Communication Champion: Contact vendors to clarify discrepancies and maintain positive relationships.

Data Management Master: Monitor account balances, track expenses, and prepare analyses for financial reporting.

System Savvy: Utilize accounting software (NAV) to set up vendors, process payments, and manage employee expense reports.

Accuracy Advocate: Verify that invoices match purchase orders and packing slips, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Team Player: Collaborate with staff accountants and other departments to maintain accurate financial records.

Project Powerhouse: Contribute to accounting-related projects as assigned.

To be successful, you'll need:

An Associate's degree in accounting with relevant work experience.

A minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

Solid understanding of accounts payable policies, procedures, and regulations.

Knowledge of purchase orders and related documentation.

Familiarity with general accounting principles.

Strong analytical skills to interpret vendor invoices and financial data.

Proficiency in accounting software systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and colleagues.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
