JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties include processing accounts payable and other accounting functions as required for a multi-company and multi-state organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Verify and audit vendor invoices in accordance with prescribed policies. Provide timely entry of invoices into accounting system
  • Resolve discrepant invoices with other departments. Bring recurring issues to attention of management
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card invoices
  • Maintain weekly cash requirement projections and process check run
  • Establish new vendors and maintain vendor master information
  • Assist with annual 1099 processing
  • Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist and provide back up as needed for Ravenwood Accountant
  • Maintain and facilitate company wide offsite record storage
  • Maintain insurance certificates from vendors and customers
  • Process incoming and outgoing corporate mail
  • Independently or part as a team identify and implement business process improvements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • AAS degree in accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable
  • Experience in other accounting related functions i.e.: general bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing/spreadsheet skills; experience working with ERP systems, SourceDay and Peachtree desirable

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Min $20.40 - Max $30.60
