Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Supervisor for our construction company. This is a permanent role that will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our accounting department. The successful candidate will oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing team. Responsibilities

1. Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including overseeing all accounting functions such as accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
2. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
3. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
4. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
5. Coordinate with the external auditors to ensure a successful and efficient completion of the audit process.
6. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for future needs and investments.
7. Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accurate reporting and integrity of financial data.
8. Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
3. Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and financial management.
4. Proficiency in Foundation accounting software.
