Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Hours Per Week: 20 Hours / Week

Location: Hybrid (Waltham MA)

Contract Length: 6 months

The Temporary Accounting Specialist will coordinate the payable process and work with both internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot questions while ensuring compliance with accounting policies. The Temporary Accounting Specialist will also support month-end close activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities;

Process weekly ACH and wire payment runs.

Contact vendors to verify payment instructions.

Maintain the vendor master file in NetSuite, processing updates and adding new vendors as needed.

Research new vendors and very tax IDs prior to setting up in the vendor master.

Assist with vendor questions and payment remittances.

Coordinate resolution of issues with vendor contacts, internal stakeholders and the company s external procurement organization

Perform other month-end close tasks as directed by the Associate Director, Accounting.

Requirements:

Bachelors and/or master s degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration with an Accounting/Finance emphasis.

Minimum of 2 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience.

Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device industry is strongly preferred.

NetSuite experience preferred.

2 years of experience in AP

Must be proficient in Excel

Some Accounting GL experience preferred

Netsuite experience is nice to have

Understanding of financial statements (as reported under US GAAP), month-end close processes, internal control structures, audit cycle and account reconciliations.
