Our client is a manufacturer based in Western Wisconsin and is seeking an individual to join their team immediately due to an internal promotion.

The Role:

The position will primarily perform accounts payable tasks, with some light accounts receivable work, ensuring that customer payments are properly documented, and vendor bills handled.

This position will also have regular customer/vendor contact to resolve invoice dispute, collect on past due accounts and to answer invoice related questions.

General Duties:

  • General Accounting: As an accounting representative of the general ledger; ensure accounting practices are in accordance to GAAP and transactions are completed accurately.
  • Accounts Payable; Process all received invoices of goods & services provided by our vendors & suppliers, according to company process to obtain proper approval. This includes miscellaneous and PO activity.
    • Review and maintain assigned reporting and tracking of open deferred receivers and prepayments to not age more than 30 days from the original action date; by continuously working and communication of the transactions to bring to closure.
  • Collections:Point person for the collection team to ensure management and collection of the Accounts Receivable.
    • To include all internal communication to Managers and Sales representatives as well as external communication to Customer's AP and Buyers.

Skill Requirements:

  • Understanding and acceptance of general accounting principles; introduction to finance
  • Beginning to Intermediate in the Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Excellent Communication skills, organization skills and accuracy
  • 3 way PO match for all invoices
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, shows appreciation for the problems and ideas of others

Minimum Requirements:
An Associate's Degree in Accounting and 2+ years experience in accounting is the ideal experience

Compensation:
$52,000 - $58,000 / year annual salary depending on qualifications

This client is currently operating in-office.
