Your Role:

As an Accounting/Payroll Specialist, you'll be overseeing our payroll processing, contributing significantly to the smooth operation of the company. We're searching for a dependable professional who embodies unwavering confidentiality, an eagle eye for detail, and the flexibility to work regular hours, with a special focus on crucial periods like Monday through Wednesday and year-end.

  • Manage a dynamic, high-volume weekly union payroll, covering up to 130 employees across multiple diverse projects nationwide.
  • Execute precise calculations for manual layoff checks, skillfully handle garnishments, subsistence pay, and ensure the accuracy of certified payrolls.
  • Champion other payroll-related projects to ensure our systems remain efficient and compliant.

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in payroll processing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Union/Construction payroll is highly valued for a seamless grasp of industry intricacies.
  • Excel Proficiency: Excel mastery is a must; your adeptness with calculations and data management will be central.
  • Tech Savviness: Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is preferred, while familiarity with other systems will be considered.
  • Multi-State Expertise: Understanding multi-state payroll intricacies will set you up for success.
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required, additional education is a plus.
