We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving and managing the company's financial operations and strategies. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.

3. Participate in the development and implementation of financial procedures and policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.

4. Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

5. Prepare and present financial reports and metrics to internal and external stakeholders.

6. Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and consistency of entries.

7. Create ad hoc reports for various business needs.

8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

9. Interact with external auditors in completing audits.

10. Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.

3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role.

4. Proven experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, and cost accounting is required.

5. At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

6. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.

8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

9. Excellent problem-solving skills.

10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

11. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

12. Proven leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
