As a key member of our team, our Accounting Manager is responsible for managing daily operations of the accounting department including supervisory responsibilities and financial reporting, as well as developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures consistent with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, expense reports, credit card transactions, accounts receivable, taxes, and payroll.
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger and other accounting records necessary to prepare the monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet.
- Manage timely month-end close procedures.
- Perform analytical review of monthly and annual financial results. Issue timely and complete financial statements to leadership.
- Maintain invoice and check register books by fiscal year.
- Work directly with third party payroll provider to review and approve bi-weekly payroll and prepare monthly payroll and benefits reconciliation and allocation.
- Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, and benefit administration.
- Responsible for employment and tax filings and compliance with all Federal, state, and local laws.
- Prepare and maintain depreciation schedules for fixed assets.
- Work with external tax preparers to provide information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Generate reports, provide documentation and work with external auditor for annual audit.
- Supervise and manage Accounting Coordinator.
- Manage annual operating and capital budget process.
- Create financial reports based on data analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Ability to organize, manage time and prioritize workload.
