Overview of the Accounting Manager Role:
- Oversee month end close, including journal entries and reconciliation for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Provide support to external auditors on a regular basis, including annual audit
- Assist and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Prepare expense and revenue accruals
- Complete and file federal and state tax filings in an accurate and timely fashion
- Other duties include bank reconciliations, cash projections, and assisting with treasury activities
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager Position:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Four to six years of accounting experience including areas of financial reporting and financial statement preparation
- Strong organization skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems is a must
