Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for accounting functions of the company. Support the transactional team with tasks such as payables and receipts, responsible for processing payroll and coordinate month-end close and completion of monthly reconciliations and preparation of financial statements. Utilizes and updates data for online banking. Maintains 401(k) employee elected payroll deduction deposits and all other payroll related items.
Essential Functions:

  • Supervises and is responsible for the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable & collections, bank reconciliations, general ledger, taxes and payroll.
  • Performs ACH disbursements.
  • Checks all expense reimbursements for proper authorization.
  • Prepares monthly cash flow forecast for board of directors.
  • Gathers and enters monthly and annual information for generation of financial statements.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Supervises internal accounting functions and procedures, including preparation of company's monthly and annual financial statements and assists with firm tax returns.
  • Run payroll reports, enter and check payroll. Monitor online payroll service.

- 401(k): Enter employee elected payroll deductions and submit firm contributions and related employee communications.
  • Coordinate online banking.
  • Maintains depreciation schedule.
  • Acts as liaison with bank and facilitates relationship with them by providing relevant financial data.
  • Tracks bank loans and lines-of-credit.
  • Maintains relationship with CPA and understands GAAP.
  • Experience with various insurances
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred with minimum 5+ years' experience.
  • Working knowledge of inventory: raw materials, inventory, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Ability to follow instructions, and read, write and communicate clearly in English.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting and payroll
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities; tactful, mature and flexible.
  • Ability to operate independently and "self-manage" projects.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP software
  • Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office and Adobe.
