We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, which includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The Accounting Manager will also ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS). This role is pivotal in supporting the company's financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership.
3. Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
4. Lead the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes.
5. Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.
6. Collaborate with executive team members to establish and execute the financial strategy of the company.
7. Ensure company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements.
8. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
9. Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
10. Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions.
11. Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
12. Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
3. 5+ years' experience in a senior financial managerial position.
4. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics SL financial reporting software.
5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
8. Pays strict attention to detail.
9. Ability to manage employees, while multi-tasking large projects.
10. Experience in fund reporting is a must.
11. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
12. Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
13. Must be able to present financial data in a concise manner to financial and non-financial audiences.
