Job DetailsResponsible for the management and control of general ledger, property assets and the accounting for specific purpose funds.
Primary functions involve financial statements and report preparation.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA required.
Experience:
- Three (3) years progressive experience in a financial setting with supervisory/management exposure
- Two (2) to three (3) years' experience in healthcare environment is highly preferred.
Primary duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely generation of financial statements, with constant re-engineering of the month end process to expedite the availability of the facility's operating figures.
- Generates information for year-end audits by hospital auditors, third parties, and other taxing entities.
- Reconciles all EMH and EMRMC balance sheet accounts monthly including bank reconciliation.
- Trains departmental staff and recommends appropriate continuing education to further develop Associates, as well as themselves.
- Works with outside accounting and management consulting firms relative to designated projects.
- Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the organization.
- Contributes to the effective operations of the organization by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
- Demonstrates a commitment to incorporating the core concepts of patient family centered care into practice (dignity, respect, information sharing, and participation).
