Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Bloomfield, CT

Duration: 06 Months On W2 Contract

Significant experience required in Manufacturing Plant and Complex Accounting experience, including supervisory experience to manage a team of accountants and/or a complex process that interacts with multiple individuals outside of the department. Knowledge and experience of Finance systems and tools - Oracle, Bolt, JDE, Planful, HFM would be great.
Performing and/or overseeing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the company's general ledger, resolving complex accounting issues resulting from routine and non-routine accounting transactions.
Reviews general ledger entries, account reconciliations, internal and external reports, schedules and statements.
Reviews existing internal controls on a regular basis and develops new internal controls as necessary and Implements new accounting standards.
Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures. (Important)
Experience with JD Edwards and Planful is a plus.

Gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions.

Education/Experience :
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.

At least 8-10 years accounting manager/plant controller experience in manufacturing industry.

Bachelors degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting (Required)
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Include analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
Direct the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses, that summarize and forecast the organizations financial position
Prepare special reports required by regulatory authorities
Direct the organizations budgets to meet its financial goals
Oversee the investment of funds, manage associated risks, supervise cash management activities,
Execute capital-raising strategies to support a firms expansion,
Oversee the firms issuance of credit, establishing credit-rating criteria, determining credit ceilings, and monitoring the collections of past-due accounts
