Accounting Manager - Global Manufacturer




Position Summary:


Lincoln Search Consultants, nationally recognized as a Forbes Best Professional Recruiting firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager for our well - established and growing global manufacturing client to oversee accounting operations in their Romeoville, IL US HQ. This role will report directly to the US CFO, involves managing the local accounting team, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic fiscal planning to bolster the company's growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical accounting proficiency, strategic acumen, and adept leadership skills to drive our financial operations forward. This position will be on - site.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Leadership: Lead, cultivate, and expand the local accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and alignment with global financial strategies.

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure meticulous monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting adhering to local and international accounting standards. Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements and supervise the preparation of tax returns and other mandatory documents.

  • Taxation: Oversee tax management, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws and regulations. Optimize tax strategies and spearhead tax planning and implementation.

  • General and Cost Accounting: Supervise all facets of general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cost accounting processes. Implement and uphold accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Offer strategic insights and recommendations to bolster business decisions and financial planning.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Forge close partnerships with other departments to support financial and operational goals. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across functions.

  • Language and Communication Skills: Bilingual Chinese or Spanish preferred, but not required.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Profound knowledge and experience in general accounting and FP&A, exposure or experience to Cost Accounting or Tax preferred, but not required.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with a commitment to excellence and high standards.
