Job Details

We are seeking an accounting clerk specializing in cash management for onshore oil and gas operations. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial transactions and records related to cash flow.

Cash Management: The primary responsibility is to manage cash inflows and outflows efficiently. This involves monitoring cash balances, cash transactions, and ensuring timely entries for realistic cash position.

Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling bank statements with company records to identify any discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Cash Flow Analysis: Analyzing cash flow trends and variances to identify areas for improvement or potential cash flow issues; daily/month end cash analysis.

Communication and Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments such as finance, operations, and procurement to ensure smooth cash management processes and accurate financial reporting.

Skills required for this role include:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly those relevant to the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with team members and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
1-3 years recent, relevant cash accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:

• Beginner/Intermediate proficiency in accounting/cash management
• Oil & Gas industry exposure a plus, but not required
