Typical Tasks and Responsibilities for Accounting Specialist Opportunities via CFS: - Perform various accounts payable tasks including: Invoice input, Vendor Management, 3-way matching.
- Perform various accounts receivable tasks including: payment research, payment corrections, payment allocation, and collections.
- Gather reports on accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
- Assist with month end closing duties and direct annual audits
- Assist with performing audits and ensure adherence to standard requirements
- Ensure that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
Commonly Preferred Qualifications for Accounting Specialist roles:
- Associates Degree in accounting or 2-3 years of Accounting related experience
- Knowledge of Excel: Data Entry, Vlookups, and Pivot Tables (always a plus)
- Knowledge of various accounting software and willingness to learn new software
- Exceptional communication skills
