Accounting Assistant
Expanding International manufacturing company is looking to add an Accounting/Office Assistant. This is a newly created position due to growth with the company in their South Charlotte office.
This position is a located in South Charlotte, NC with an hourly pay range of $22-25/hr. This is a contract to hire position.
Duties
- Enter Commercial Invoices in QuickBooks
- Assist with accounts receivable, billing and accounts payable
- Prepare Declaration of Manufacturing forms
- Prepare Allocation worksheets for necessary shipments
- Send required docs to customer, clearing agent and trucker
- Send original Bills of Lading (BOL) via FedEx to SSL or freight forwarder
- Keep customer information spreadsheet updated and current to include employee changes, trucker changes, etc.
- Keep Shipment requirement spreadsheet updated and current
Purchase orders and Pro Forma Invoice processing
- Prepare and send Sales Confirmation to customers
Track deliveries and invoice customers using QuickBooks, entering data for each invoice in appropriate spreadsheets :
- Monthly Sales Register
- Shipment requirement
- Shipment allocation sheet
- Consignment spreadsheets
- Warehouse spreadsheet
- Calculate current import duty charges and update Duty Spreadsheet
Experience and Skills required:
- Under-graduate degree with 3+years' experience in office administration
- 2 years of accounting operations experience
- Ability to work independently with customers, truckers, shipping lines, etc.
- Organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with team orientation
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Should be Computer-savvy with ability to work on MS Office specifically Excel
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
