Responsibilities of the Accounting and Finance Manager:

• Oversee month-end close: prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, and income statements
• Prepare and present budgets and financial reports to the Board
• Oversee journal entries, vacation accruals, and reconciliations for payroll in the General LEdger
• Monitor cash flow, disbursements, and complete transfers as needed
• Prepare and monitor tax filings, payroll tax, and property tax
• Assist external audits and long-range financial forecasts

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting and Finance Manager:

• 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 
  • Minimum five years' experience in an accounting or finance role; experience with grant accounting is a major plus.
• 
  • Experience with QuickBooks and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• 
  • Highly effective communication skills
• 
  • Deadline- and detail-oriented
• 
  • Ability to see the big picture
