Opportunity: Contract

Compensation: $22.00-$25.00/hour

Location: Tampa, FL

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8am-5pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close activities including the preparation of journal entries, financial analysis, reclassifications, allocations, and corrections
  • Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting policies (GAAP) and SOX controls
  • Manage the processing and tracking of customer rebates and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Calculate and process monthly external sales commissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to track deductions and resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex rebate data, supporting supervisor in customer and product profitability analysis and growth tier analysis for new agreements
  • Assist in the calculation and payment of quarterly and annual rebates, coordinating with Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams
  • Support audits and provide ad hoc analysis as required by upper management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting required, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial principles and practices
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant business or finance-related experience, proving exposure to accounting process and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of accounting standards and principles, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate data and perform basic to intermediate functions
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with individuals at all levels of management and across various departments
