Job Details

This position will be responsible for assisting with the matching of invoices, purchase orders, packing lists and entering vendor invoices into Mapics. Responsible for weekly check runs and journal entries and other projects assigned by Controller.

Responsibilities:
1. Fixed Asset Management:
a. Maintain proper records of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation for operating income, tax income, property tax reporting, and any miscellaneous governmental reporting requirements and the preparation of the required reports.
b. Prepare updates to current Fixed Asset Policy and Procedures when required.
2. Capital Budget
a. Complete Project Tracking Sheets on a weekly and monthly basis.
b. Report and track actual expenditures against budget.
3. Cash Management
a. Manage cash daily and reconcile weekly.
b. Process wire payments.
c. Prepare Weekly Cash Forecasts.
4. Month End & Year End Close
a. Assist Controller in closing month and year.
b. Assist Controller with year-end audit.
5. Census Reports
a. Prepare and Submit all Government census reports.
6. Assist with analysis reporting as directed by Controller.
7. Monthly Reconciliation of intercompany balances, other income accounts, prepaid expenses, depreciation, accrued payables, and other Balance Sheet accounts as assigned.
8. Assist with preparing quarterly tax returns and yearly 1099 forms.
9. Train as backup to A/R, A/P, as well as some functions of Senior Accountant.
10. Prepare month end budget vs actual reports.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • Five plus years accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Fixed Asset experience is preferred
