Our client, a small manufacturring company in Danbury, seeks an Accountant with 6+ years of experience to be responsible for the financial and office management of the company. You will manage and oversee the daily accounting functions as well as work with the company president providing HR guidance pertaining to negotiating benefits, working with third party adminstrators etc This is a hands-on, leadership role with a 30+ year old company who values its employees, has good benefits and very little turnover. This position is open due to a retirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily general accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, monthly review of the G/L.
  • Monitor A/P and A/R processing, payroll.
  • Work with Upper Management on setting annual budget.
  • Work with outside vendors and business partners.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of accounting/bookkeepng experience. Supervisory exp. preferred
  • Associate's degree in accounting.
  • Advanced excel and accounting system knowledge.
  • Self motivation, organizational and communication skills.
