Account Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to initiate, maintain, cultivate and grow long-term business relationships with key customers in the Eastern Ohio territory. Be a part of a team that drives with passion and commitment for business development.

Position Responsibilities

-Initiate, maintain, cultivate and grow long-term business relationships with key customers
-Prospect for new business opportunities with eye care professionals such as optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians and other optical specialists.
-Responsible for the clear and complete communication of product information including features, benefits positioning, limitations, pricing and availability
-Further responsible for communicating and establishing strategic concepts designed to help grow the customer's business
-Establish educational seminars for both the principal(s) and staff of the customer's business covering both business and product concepts
-Initiate and/or support promotional activities on behalf of customers such as frame "trunk" shows
-Identify and report on the needs of the customer to company management; work with company management to develop programs to satisfy those needs and assist customer in the execution of those programs.

Experience/Qualifications

-Required - B. A. Degree with emphasis on business related fields; 8 years Optical Industry experience (including working in or calling on retail optical businesses) and current wholesale experience.
-Desired - Working knowledge of CRM software tools is preferred; ABO Certification desirable
-Ability to travel, with up to 50% overnight travel required
-Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record that complies with the Walman Optical Company Motor Vehicle Policy
-Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 Lbs.
